Digital Downloads & Refunds
Stitchfolk's baseline terms for instant PDF delivery, personal-use pattern licences, defective or duplicate files, refunds, and membership cancellation.
This policy supplements the Terms of Service for Stitchfolk's PDF patterns, bundles, and memberships. It explains what happens after hosted Stripe checkout and how to ask for help when a download is inaccessible, defective, duplicated, or not what you expected.
1. Instant PDF delivery
A ready digital pattern is normally made available immediately after Stripe confirms checkout, through the success page, account downloads, and/or the purchase email. The file is supplied electronically; no physical item is shipped.
Use a current browser PDF viewer or save the file to a device you control.
If payment completed but the link or email did not arrive, contact us through /contact with the order email and session details available to you.
A pattern without a verified downloadable PDF is not chargeable until its file is ready.
2. Personal-use licence
Each purchase grants a limited, personal, non-exclusive licence to use the pattern as described in the Terms of Service. This licence is for making, reading, and printing the purchased pattern; it is not a transfer of the copyright in the instructions, charts, photographs, or layout.
You may make projects and give or sell finished objects unless a separate pattern licence says otherwise.
Do not redistribute the PDF, upload it to a shared drive, or sell copies or extracted instructions.
Do not remove designer or Stitchfolk attribution.
Ask before using a pattern for a class, kit, or other commercial distribution.
3. Corrections and support
If a file is inaccessible, corrupted, duplicated, missing a page, or contains a material error, contact Stitchfolk through /contact. Include the order email, pattern title, device or PDF-reader detail, and a description or screenshot if safe to share.
We may provide a fresh link, corrected file, replacement file, or other practical fix.
A corrected pattern can replace the earlier version without changing the personal-use licence.
Do not send payment-card numbers or passwords in a support request.
4. Refund and correction requests
Because a digital PDF may be delivered immediately, the default rule is that a completed digital sale is final once access or delivery begins, except where a refund, replacement, correction, or other remedy is required by applicable law.
This policy does not promise an unknown statutory withdrawal window or exceptions beyond applicable law. Ask for support promptly when a file is inaccessible, defective, duplicated, or materially misdescribed.
A duplicate charge or duplicate file may be reviewed for a correction or refund.
A material file defect may be remedied with a corrected file, replacement, or refund as appropriate.
A simple change of mind after successful delivery is not promised to qualify for a refund under this baseline.
Any refund is handled through the sanctioned payment flow or support process; Stitchfolk does not collect card details in the app.
5. Bundles and membership cancellation
A bundle is delivered as the set described at purchase. A membership is recurring access, not an ownership transfer of every future release. Cancel using the available account or provider-management path before the next renewal when you no longer want recurring charges.
Cancellation timing, access through the paid period, and renewal status are determined by the membership offer and Stripe status.
Refund treatment for a membership or bundle remains subject to applicable law and the terms communicated for that offer.
If a membership payment is reversed or disputed, access may be paused while the issue is reviewed.
6. Rights that cannot be waived
Nothing in this policy removes a consumer guarantee, refund right, cooling-off right, or other protection that applies by law and cannot be waived by agreement. This policy applies alongside any mandatory market-specific consumer protections.
