Cookies & Privacy Notice
A practical inventory of Stitchfolk cookies and similar technologies, including bf_session, NEXT_LOCALE, theme, newsletter, stitch-counter, and analytics storage.

These documents describe Stitchfolk's current product and site practices as a starting point for legal review. They are not jurisdiction-specific legal advice.

This notice supplements the Privacy Policy and describes the current cookie and browser-storage behavior used by Stitchfolk on its .io and .app hosts. It does not claim that the site has a consent banner; the owner should add one if a law or chosen policy requires it.
1. What counts as a cookie or similar technology
Cookies are small browser values sent with requests. Similar technologies include localStorage, session storage, pixels, beacons, and browser APIs that remember a preference or report an event. Stitchfolk uses these tools for sign-in continuity, language and display preferences, optional convenience, and limited product measurement.
2. Cookies used by the app
The current app may set or read the following first-party values: bf_session: an HttpOnly session cookie used to recognize an authenticated buyer or member; it is necessary for account and protected actions.
NEXT_LOCALE: a locale preference used by the bilingual English/Spanish experience.
3. Browser storage and preferences
Some browser-only preferences do not travel as request cookies. Current features may use localStorage for:
Theme choice, such as light or dark mode.
Newsletter-banner dismissal and related signup convenience state.
Recently viewed or saved-pattern convenience state where the feature is enabled.
A stitch-counter or tutorial-progress value when you use that browser feature.
Limited analytics or event deduplication values where the current component implements them.
4. Analytics and beacons
This store does not send an analytics beacon, and these pages set no analytics or advertising cookies. The only browser storage the shop sets is a localStorage cart value on the store pages, so items stay in your cart as you move between pages. It does not read the contents of your private files or payment-card data.
The exact analytics fields and retention are provider-controlled and should be confirmed by the owner before this notice is treated as exhaustive.
Where an action requires consent, the UI presents that acknowledgement before the app sends the relevant write request.
5. Media and third-party assets
The current policy does not claim that Stitchfolk embeds a cookie-setting media player. External affiliate links, hosted checkout, and third-party assets may have their own technologies once you leave or interact with them.
Review the provider's policy before using a third-party site or hosted Stripe checkout.
Do not assume an external asset or link follows Stitchfolk's storage controls.
6. Your controls
You can block or delete cookies and local storage through browser settings, use private browsing, or reset site data. Blocking necessary session values can sign you out or prevent account, checkout-success, or upload actions from working.
Change the language with the site switcher; the preference is stored through the installed locale route.
Change theme through the theme control or browser storage settings.
Unsubscribe from newsletter marketing through the email link or a request to the owner.
